WINEMAKING NOTES
The fruit for this wine was grown on the stony, sandy lower terrace of Askerne Vineyard. 2006 was an excellent vintage for reds and the fruit for this wine was picked at optimal ripnesson 24th April 2006.
The fruit was hand harvested, sorted then destemmed and crushed. A short fermntation followed which was stopped by the addition of alcohol. The wine was then aged in older French oak barriques for twelve months.

TASTING NOTES
dark berries, cassis, chocolate, vanilla, and leather combine on the palate to produce this rich, silky smooth, mouth filling desert wine. With age a coffee character is expected to develop with time in the bottle.
Enjoy on its own or match with cheese or chocolate based deserts.
