WINEMAKING NOTES
This wine was made from grapes grown on both the stony, sandy lower terrace of the vineyard and the heavier upper terrace.
The varietal mix was 66% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Malbec, *% Cabernet Franc.
The fruit was hand harvested and sorted. It was destemmed and crushed, then macerated and fermented in tanks. The wine was aged for 10 months in French oak barriques ( a mix of new and old)
Ph 3.7
TA 6.3
Alcohol 13%
TASTING NOTES
Traditional winemaking techniques have produced this classical red wine which combines floral, spice and dark plum characters with well-integrated smoky oak. It has a full well rounded palate and long flavoursome finish.
Enjoy now or over the next 3 to 5 years from vintage with beef or venison dishes.
